What does TaxScanZA do?
TaxScanZA scans tax documents with your phone camera and automatically optimises them to meet SARS eFiling requirements: under 5MB, 300 DPI, correct format.
What is the free tier?
Free users can scan and store up to 5 documents. Pro (R49, one-time purchase) unlocks unlimited documents and export.
Where are my documents stored?
All documents are stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to external servers. If you delete the app, your documents are removed.
How do I export a document?
Open a document, tap Export, and choose how to share it: email, AirDrop, Files, or any other app on your device. Export requires Pro.
What does "SARS compliant" mean?
It means your document meets the file size and quality requirements for SARS eFiling uploads: under 5MB at 300 DPI in PDF format.
Can I restore my Pro purchase?
Yes. Pro purchases are linked to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device. Go to Settings within the app to restore your purchase.
