Does the app work without internet?
Yes. All event data, maps, and project information is bundled within the app. Download it before you leave for the Tankwa and everything works offline.
How do I mark my camp on the map?
Long-press anywhere on the map to place a camp pin. You can move or delete it later by tapping the pin.
Is the app affiliated with AfrikaBurn?
No. This is an unofficial companion app built by a community member. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to AfrikaBurn.
Why does the app ask for location permission?
Location access is used to show your position on the event map and to enable location-based features. Your location data stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.
The map is not loading. What should I do?
The map uses offline tiles bundled in the app. If it fails to load, try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app.
How do I filter for family-friendly camps?
On the theme camps screen, use the "Family Friendly" filter toggle to show only child-friendly options.
